Sock Lable Brand Interview Assignment

For a graphics position interview assignment  in New Zealand I was asked to design two work examples, my interpretation for two sock labels.

  • One branded towards 20 something single females, successful in a career or study, single or in a romantic stage couple.

  • Second sock label was to be branded towards a golf country club. I got the position at the time.

Sock label for products aimed at single 20 something females.

To have a luxury, shiny, sexual, expensive feel, gold, silk, rich colours, sensual lips and exotic brand name, with sensual red, lips moistened with desire.

This would have a traditional feel, conservative yet not stuffy, quality, workmanship, success, solid, victory cups, a scene from the club or its club house mansion and possibly it’s uniform colours.

Modern Construction Company Branding

This was another branding / corporate identity job, this time whilst working at Prontaprint for a full colour logo for a building and construction company that wanted a more modern feel and NOT a typical Joe Blogs the brickie and tabloid reading mates feel.

I come up with something looking like it combined energy and technology with powerful tooling, solid modern looking fonts and strong colour. It had to look solidly built.
