Creative Media Skills Skills is an industry training organisation in Pinewood Studios that specialises in in the film and TV practical arts including: Prop Design, Model Making, Prosthetics, Costume, Wigs. Special Effects, Cinematography, Directing Script Writing and new for next year Production Management.
Introduced to deal with a skills shortage in the industry, what makes it stand out are that all courses are taught, not by academic teachers, but by industry veteran supervising professionals who have been responsible for some of the top physical:
Art Department, Special Effects, Props, Sec Decoration, Miniature Modelmaking, Makeup, Costume, Film Sets and more in the movie industry building reputations over decades with films including some of the Star Wars films, Kingsmen, Stardust, Batman, Blade Runner, Willy Wonka and the Chronicles of Narnia etc.
Unlike my previous two 1 week short courses this UAL professional diploma, was a 1 year intensive course which has now joined with:
Buckingham College Group to enable them to run the course characterised by the tutors all being senior high end film industry professional veterans who are now training and mentoring the next generation of practical film making technicians:

Briefed to produce a scene from a known big movie in our departments working together with the other 2 courses.
Directing, Producing and Cinematography + Hair, Special Efects Makeup and Costume.
In our case the 'Weird Barbie' scene from the movie "Barbie"
This was the end of year production we had worked on and off all year at.

There were 4 course disciplines which for the most part operated separately, but during productions worked together. Art Dpartment, Production, Direction and Cinematography, Hair, Costume and Special Effects Prosthetics and Screen Writing.
I did the Art department course. The plot of Domisciles centres round a set of migrants and home office staff, when one falls asleep into a dream sequence of a twisted, rigged and racist gameshow " Get Out of Here" that the host has all the power till things take an interesting twist.
